Along with the industries, he also owns the Mumbai Indians twenty-twenty teams, cricket teams under the Indian premier league(IPL), IN 2012 Forbes ranked him on the list of the world's richest sports owners. Apart from his company Mukesh Ambani Alalg has also been a member of various committees, chairman and board of the reported companies at different times. Until the 1970s Mukesh Ambani family lived in a two-room house in Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai but later Dhirubhai Ambani bought a 14-floor building in the Colaba area of the Mumbai where Mukesh Ambani and the other members of the Ambani family lived for many years.
Mukesh Ambani did his education at hill grange high school in Pedder Road, Mumbai. Here Mukesh Ambani's close friend Anand Jain was his classmate and his younger brother Anil Ambani also studies in this school. Mukesh Ambani is hold a bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from” Institute of chemical technology, Matunga”. In 1980, when the Indira Gandhi government started the PFY Was opened for the private sector, then Reliance also submitted its claim for the licenses between Tata, Birla and other 43more veterans. Pay Dhirubhai Ambani offered Mukesh an MBA for the construction of a (polyester filament yarn) factory. Called his studies in between. The capacity of this refinery was in 660,000 barrels per day in 2010 i.e. 30 million tonnes per year. The refinery built with an investment of around Rs.1000 crores has petrochemical power generation port and related infrastructure.  
Reliance industries are once again going to step into the telecom sector through “reliance jio”. In this regard, Reliance industries have also tied up with Anil Ambani’s communications and Sunil Mittal's airtel for the use of their infrastructure. Reliance AGM in June 2014.
